Banner Design

 

An efficient banner design can make the difference between a successful advertising banner campaign and a totally inefficient one. We will present some of the principles behind this:

  • The use of animations. A simple animation can help improve the click rate, providing that it is simple and tasteful, the purpose is to attract users, not annoy them.
  • It has to contain a clear message to encourage the user to click. A simple graphic image with the text "Click here" , can help improving the click rate.
  • Using bright, vivid colors. The banners that contain blue, yellow or green have a higher click-rate than the black and white ones.
  • The message must be short and concise
  • The banner's link must point towards a specific page, the users expect to find the informations they are looking for as easily as possible, otherwise they lose their interest.
  • The banners need frequent changes, or redesigns, so to continuously create a new image to your company.
